1 Par la vallée de l'ombre, je dois passer,
Où les vagues froides du Jourdain roulent ;
Mais je connais la promesse de mon berger,
Qu'elle soit le bâton et la houlette de mon âme.
Même maintenant, dans la vallée où je glisse,
Je peux entendre mon Sauveur dire, « Suis-moi ! ».
Et avec Lui, je n'ai pas peur de traverser la marée,
